Nigeria: Christian father and son beheaded on their way home from choir practice

The pitiless murders of Thomas Wollo and seven-year-old Nggwe Thomas are two more examples of the gratuitous violence to which Christians in that country are subjected on what is now practically a daily basis. This crisis has grown in the face of continued inaction from the Nigerian government and law enforcement apparatus. Muslim Fulani herdsmen, as well as the terrorist group Boko Haram, terrorize and kill Christians in Nigeria with impunity. And when they do, there is in almost all cases little or no significant response from the Nigerian government or military. The Fulani herdsmen have made the situation of Christians in Nigeria a human rights catastrophe of catastrophic proportions.

A Christian father and his 7-year-old son have been killed in a horrific attack in Nigeria.

Thomas Wollo, 46, and his young son, Nggwe Thomas, were beheaded by radical Fulani herdsmen, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports.

The attack occurred on Sunday evening near their home in Tafigana village, Plateau state, as they were returning from choir practice.

Zongo Lawrence, spokesman for Miango Youth Development Association, is pleading for outside help to stop the violence.

“Seventeen of our people have been killed by Fulani herdsmen this year. The international community should come to our aid; we are under heavy siege,” he told ICC….
