Nigeria: Anambra State Governor Says Christianity Is Facing A Major Threat In His State

“Christianity Facing Major Threat In Anambra – Soludo,” by Titus Eleweke, Daily Trust, November 6, 2022:

Governor of Anambra, Prof Charles Soludo, says Christianity is facing a major threat in his state.

The Governor, in company of his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, made the call while speaking at the yearly prayer rally organised by Anglican Communion, Province of the Niger, held in Awka, Anambra State capital….

He said despite everything, Anambra state remains a Christian society, which will never be taken for granted.

According to Soludo, beyond prayers, there is the need for the church to work together with government to defeat insecurity and other anti social vices plaguing the state.

He said the church, the people and the society have roles to play and should all be involved in the war against insecurity

Earlier in his speech titled “Watch and Pray” the Archbishop, Province of the Niger and Bishop of Diocese of Awka Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, said the people are living in perilous times and there is need to watch and pray….
